Asphalt Hot Mix Plant 120 TPH

2026-08-21 15:44:08

Having cultivated the asphalt mixing equipment export industry for over a decade, we often tell our overseas clients: when choosing an asphalt mixing plant, capacity suitability is far more important than blindly pursuing large capacity. Looking at the global infrastructure market, the hot mix plant 120t/h has consistently been the "golden capacity" for mid-range projects—capable of handling large-scale construction of provincial highways and municipal main roads, as well as covering county-level road networks and industrial park infrastructure projects, offering the best return on investment. Haomei Machinery's LB1500 120t/h forced intermittent hot mix asphalt plant is a flagship export model refined based on this market positioning. It achieves an excellent balance between mixing accuracy, continuous operation stability, and procurement and maintenance costs, making it our most stable mid-range model for shipments to Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

LB1500 hot mix asphalt plant has a rated capacity of 120 tons/hour, a single-batch rated mixing capacity of 1500 kg, a standard mixing cycle of 45 seconds, and an annual designed capacity of approximately 150,000 tons, perfectly matching the construction pace of a single 50-100 km provincial highway section. As an engineering-grade piece of equipment, its core metering system adopts the static gravity weighing scheme of high-end models: aggregates, mineral powder, and asphalt are weighed independently, with aggregate metering errors ≤ ±0.5%, asphalt and mineral powder metering errors ≤ ±0.3%, and asphalt-aggregate ratio control accuracy consistently within ±0.3%. Equipped with a 4-compartment hot aggregate storage silo and a multi-layer linear vibrating screen, the aggregate gradation screening efficiency is ≥88%, enabling stable production of mainstream mixtures such as AC, ATB, and ordinary modified asphalt, fully meeting the construction specifications for Class II and above highways in various countries. From industry experience, this precision configuration is more than sufficient for the vast majority of mid-range infrastructure projects, without needing to pay an extra premium for rarely used high-end formulations.

Addressing the pain points of long-term continuous operation and limited maintenance conditions at overseas construction sites, we have made practical upgrades to the core drying and mixing system. The drying drum is made of thickened wear-resistant manganese plate, with multiple sets of detachable high-chromium lifting blades arranged internally, forming a counter-current heat exchange structure with a heat utilization rate of ≥83%. It comes standard with a high-efficiency atomizing diesel burner and can also be flexibly upgraded to a natural gas/dual-fuel solution, with fuel consumption per unit mixture controlled at 6.2-7.8 kg, resulting in significant long-term operating cost advantages. The mixing cylinder adopts a dual-shaft forced structure, with staggered high-chromium alloy blades creating a triple mixing effect of shearing, convection, and tumbling, achieving a mixing uniformity coefficient >0.9. The blades and liners are designed for a service life of no less than 70,000 cycles, significantly reducing replacement frequency and spare parts costs at overseas construction sites.

As an export-oriented model, the LB1500 asphalt mixing plant's fully modular design is deeply adapted to cross-border logistics and overseas construction scenarios. The entire unit can be disassembled and fully loaded into a standard 40HQ container, eliminating the need for customized bulk carriers and significantly reducing shipping costs. Installation and commissioning can be completed within 10-15 days after arrival on-site, shortening the construction period by nearly one-third compared to comparable models. Environmental configurations offer tiered options: standard configuration includes a high-efficiency pulse bag filter with dust emissions ≤25mg/Nm³, meeting the environmental requirements of most developing countries; for regions with sufficient budgets or stringent environmental standards, a low-NOx burner + flue gas purification combination can be upgraded, with emissions meeting EU standards, eliminating the need for customers to pay for unnecessary upgrades. The equipment is equipped with a multilingual intelligent control system, supporting self-diagnosis of faults and automatic recording of production data, allowing overseas local staff to operate it after short-term training.

From a win-win perspective for both manufacturers and customers, we firmly believe that hot mix plant 120t/h is the optimal level for small and medium-sized engineering contractors upgrading capacity and for local infrastructure units building their own mixing plants. It avoids the capacity constraints faced by 80t/h models in large projects, and also avoids the idle capacity and depreciation waste seen in 160t/h models in smaller projects. Haomei can also customize solutions for customers in different regions, including fuel compatibility, control language, and dedicated spare parts packages, to ensure that equipment is truly adapted to local working conditions and maximizes return on investment.
