Most countries in Southeast Asia and Africa currently enforce dust limits of 50–100 mg/Nm³, which can be met with standard baghouse dust collectors. However, some Middle Eastern countries and the EU market require dust levels below 20 mg/Nm³ and impose limits on nitrogen oxides (NOx); in these cases, a combination of low-NOx burners and high-efficiency filter bags is mandatory. Additionally, you should check for specific local requirements regarding asphalt fumes; a few countries have separate limits for VOC emissions, necessitating the installation of additional condensation and adsorption units. Blindly over-specifying leads to wasted investment, while insufficient specifications risk shutdowns and mandatory rectifications; verifying regulations in advance is the safest approach.
